Employee Accused of Stealing $125K in Jewelry From Customers

An employee of a jewelry store in Huntington, NY, has been accused of stealing more than $125,000 in jewelry.

Laura Bee allegedly took items from seven clients of Ever Love Jewelers, LongIsland.com reports. She’s been charged with multiple counts of grand larceny third degree and issuing a bad check, according to Suffolk County Police.

The crimes are alleged to have happened between September 2019 and December 2022.

In some cases, Bee switched genuine diamonds for fake ones, police said. In other instances, she allegedly overcharged for lower quality diamonds.

News 12 reports that Bee pleaded not guilty and is on supervised release. She’s due to appear in court on Aug. 9.
